Making Waves &
Headlines in 2019
The #LJDiamondAwards was created in January of 2016 by Lina Jones, it was created for the purpose of showing Independent Music Artist and the guest she interviewed on the LJDNShow a token of appreciation, and give additional exposure for both the artist and the interviewee (business owner). The very first awards show was a success with votes increasing every year. This year votes reached as high as 11k votes! The highest interaction we have ever had. Thank you to all who voted. The following images are ads of our prior year's winners topped off by this year winners. This was the first year multiple awards were given and the music video's where categorized and added. Along with our regular "Most Popular Indie Music Artists" trophy, the newly added categories are:
- Most Popular Social Media Person
- Gospel/Christian category
- Pop/Rock category
- Hip Hop/Rap
There we no winners in the Reggae/R&B and Hip-Hop/Rap categories because there were little to no votes ( I think they are waiting for the Grammy's). Most people have to pass through the little people to get to the big people. Anyway, those trophies now sit on Lina's desk can you get a refund on unused trophies?
Each year our trophy has been different that is because Lina is searching for just the right design so it can be used every year. Although we have loved the variety of trophy's we've given away we would like to settle on one design. The "Reach For The Stars" trophy is a nice design and we will most likely use it again in 2020 awards. The cost is good for our budget and in 2020 the trophy's will to be taller. We love the design and the concept behind "Reach For The Stars".
2017's Trophy was the most expensive trophy that was given away, unfortunately, the budget does not allow for multiple trophies at that cost. As it stands today we are very satisfied with our 2019 choice, we would love to hear what you think too email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
